L5P Duramax Heavy Duty Engine Swap Mounts for 2001-2010 GM 2500 / 3500 HD Chassis (Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra). Developed specifically to allow the latest generation L5P 6.6L Duramax Diesel engines to be easily bolted into the frame of the earlier generation Chevy HD classic body trucks for performance applications. Torture tested in house on high horsepower builds and verified to reduce engine flex in the chassis and address the common failure points associated with the OEM engine mounts in those early generation trucks.

Our high performance Duramax swap motor mounts add significant strength and durability by incorporating durable high performance polyurethane bushings for years of trouble free operation. Hey everyone, and thanks for tuning in. I'm Jason Wehrli with WCFab. Today, we've got our L5P Duramax engine swap mounts.

If you've got a 2001 to 2010, 2500, 3500 HD pickup truck, and you're a DIY kind of guy, like doing engine swaps, doing something custom, want to convert a late model L5P Duramax into your nice classic body style GMT 800 platform, or 07.5 to 2010 LMM style truck.

ENGINE MOUNT DETAILS & AFTER HOURS
We developed an engine mount kit that lets you install an L5P engine block into that later model chassis. So how this product arrived is from our original shop truck, the 2002, we call it the OG bubble nose. It is our After Hours pull truck, 2002 LB7 classic bubble nose truck. The first truck I bought, I was 18 years old and it really got me started in the diesel performance world back in the mid two thousands. We pulled that truck with an LB7 and when the L 5Ps came out and we started working on those, we saw a lot of potential with them and we were developing a lot of performance product for the L5P platform.

AFTER HOURS
So we decided to put one into our old classic pull truck. In 2017 when GM completely redesigned the Duramax engine, nearly 99% completely redesigned. There's a handful of parts that are compatible between earlier model Duramax and the 2017 and up.

DURAMAX CHANGES
When they did that, they made some changes to the side of the engine block where the engine mount itself bolts to the block. So to install an L5P engine into an ’01 to ’10 chassis, there's no alignment. You're making your own mount. So we were putting this engine in our truck a couple years ago, getting it ready for the polling season and learned of all these differences on the side of the engine mount and decided to draw up and design our own swap mounts for all you do it yourselfers out there that want to do an engine swap.

USA MADE
So what we have is a heavy duty all manufactured from quarter inch laser cut, CNC bent, MIG welded steel components. You've got your chassis side mounts, which are the two pieces here I'm holding in my hands. If you've ever had an engine mount off of an early model Durmax before, you'll recognize these parts. These components look very similar to any of the other engine mounts that we offer for the Duramax. They bolt right into the OEM location on the chassis using your OEM style hardware there at the chassis side. And then these ears are where our supplied poly bushings incorporate the poly bushings of course sliding into those tubes. And then these components sliding over that and being installed with our grade eight hardware. So we got our engine sides and these are the real custom components of the kit. This is essentially adapting our normal off the shelf mount that we offer for the ’01 to ’10 and also for the LML.

CAD DESIGNED & PROPER ALIGNMENT
This is the custom part that allows you to put that L5P in the truck and have everything line up. In CAD. we're able to set that engine in the chassis and get the transmission and the cross member and everything to sit right where it needs to be so that your differential clears your oil pan so that your steering arms clear the oil pan, put that engine essentially right in that factory location as far as the front and rear of the engine block is concerned. So that drive shafts line up, you're not having to worry about making custom drive shafts unless you're doing a 10 speed swap with your L 5P. Then that'll require some custom drive shafts. Otherwise, it's a bolt-in engine mount kit. Put an L 5P in your ’01 to ’10 chassis.
