The Stealth Mach Hybrid is a specialized tock appearing, direct replacement for 2003, 2004, 2004.5, 2005, 2006, and 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500 trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins diesel engine. Specifically designed for Sled Pulling and Compound Turbo applications due to its unique configuration. This model features all the internals of Stealth Turbos most powerful Mach 3 model, but has been specially modified to run the smaller 60mm Air grabber compressor wheel from the STR. This was done in order to create the most optimized primary (manifold) compound turbo offering on the market. This charger is also a great option for those limited to a 64mm compressor wheel due to competition regulations and who want to make the most out of their top-end performance.
While performance upgrades found in the Mach 3 such as the custom super flow exhaust housing, 10% greater than stock A/R, re-designed 16% larger waste gate port, tunable billet waste gate canister, and the extra-large 72mm turbine wheel are not ideal for low end power or spool-up, the significant improvement in flow that they offer directly results in top-end performance gains at higher RPMs. The increase in exhaust flow is also ideal for help managing EGTs under load and for passing as much of the additional exhaust gas energy as possible on to the turbine of a secondary (atmosphere) turbo in a compound setup.
The unique advantage of this turbo's design cannot be understated. Aided by insight from the tuning experts at Calibrated Power's experience with the 5.9L Cummins platform and how it responds to tuning adjustments, changes in airflow, and increased power was a crucial component in building you the perfect primary (manifold) compound turbo.
